Step 1: Tell Us Your Quantity, Size & Product Details

The first conversation is always the same: how many do you need, and what’s going inside?

Most custom paper bag projects start with three pieces of information.

Quantity — our minimum is 1,000 pieces. Below that, we cannot justify the setup cost (printing plates, dieline cutting dies, machine calibration). At exactly 1,000 pieces, per-bag pricing is still very affordable. Pricing depends on size, paper weight, and finish — request a quote with your specs and we’ll send a per-piece breakdown within 24 hours.

Size — measure your product, then add 1–2 cm breathing room. A bag should always be sized to its contents, not to a vague “medium.” Measure the widest, tallest, and deepest dimension of your product — then add 1–2 cm on each side so the bag closes comfortably without crushing. Step 2: We Send You a Free Dieline File (AI / CDR / PDF)

Once we have your dimensions, the next step is the dieline — the flat blueprint that tells the printer where to cut and crease.

A dieline is not pretty. It’s a technical line drawing showing:

• Cut lines— where the die cuts the paper
• Crease / fold lines— where the paper folds at the seams and gusset
• Bleed area— extra margin in case of slight misalignment
• Safe area— anything outside this may be cropped during printing or finishing

We send the dieline to you as a free, editable file in AI, CDR, or PDF format — whichever your designer prefers. Most customers use Adobe Illustrator (.ai); packaging studios often prefer CorelDRAW (.cdr); print shops typically want the .pdf proof.

How to use the dieline:

1. Open the file in your design software.
2. Place your logo, brand name, and any artwork inside the safe area.
3. Convert all fonts to outlines (or send the font files).
4. Set color mode to CMYKat 300 DPI, with 3 mm bleed on all sides.
5. Save and send back to us — ideally as both the editable file (so we can adjust if needed) and a flat .pdf proof (so we know exactly what you expect to see).

Step 3: Design — Yours or Ours

Once you have the dieline, you have two design paths.

Option A: You design. This is the most common route for established brands with an in-house designer or a creative agency. You send the finished artwork back as an editable .ai/.cdr file or a print-ready .pdf. We run a preflight check and flag any technical issues — out-of-gamut colors, missing bleeds, fonts not outlined, raster logos — before we go to print.

Option B: We design for you. If you don’t have a designer in-house, our design team can produce mockups based on your brand guidelines (logo, colors, fonts). We charge a one-time design fee, often waived on larger orders. You’ll receive 2–3 concept mockups, two rounds of revisions, then we send the final artwork for production.

Whichever path you take, by the end of this step you’ll have a final artwork file that’s been proofread, color-checked, and ready for plate-making.

Step 4: Choose Your Finish — Handles, Hot Stamping, Embossing, UV
